Ready for testing: The FAIRagro Search Hub is online!

What is the FAIRagro Search Hub? It brings together data sets from the various areas of agricultural systems research (primarily plants, soil and the environment). The aim is to promote the implementation of the FAIR principles (findability, accessibility, interoperability and reusability) in the field of agricultural research.

The FAIRagro Search Hub is not a repository of its own, but harmonizes metadata from many associated research data infrastructures (RDI) such as BonaRes, OpenAgrar and e!DAL. The metadata is automatically harvested by the FAIRagro middleware, transformed into a standardized metadata schema and thus makes the repositories easily searchable.

The FAIRagro Search Hub offers various search and filter functions, for example by plant species or soil types. Further options are currently under development.

The platform is being developed for the agrosystems research community and must therefore meet the needs and requirements of the community. To ensure this, the developers are working closely with the relevant FAIRagro experts (especially with the Use Cases). On the other hand, we explicitly invite everyone to suggest functions, ideas or requirements and to report bugs to the development team. How do you do this? It’s simple: there is a green feedback button on the right-hand side of the user interface.

We look forward to receiving lots of interesting and inspiring feedback!
