Prof. Dr. Frank Ewert and the FAIRagro Secretariat at the turn of the year

Dear colleagues in FAIRagro, dear friends,

2023 was an intensive year for FAIRagro: our consortium started the project phase in March – and since then we have all been working to achieve our goals and bring the agrosystems research community together and move it forward. A lot has happened since the start of the project: the task areas have started their work, many new colleagues have been recruited, the first milestones have already been reached and the first collaborations with other NFDI consortia have been initiated. A particular highlight for me was our “kick-off” meeting in Berlin, when we all met and got to know each other in person for the first time in the entire project. We worked a lot, but we also laughed a lot – and this day whetted our appetite for more.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone at FAIRagro for the work they have done over the past 10 months, but also to all our partners and friendly institutions and scientists for their support and inspiration.

We have a lot planned for 2024 and the coming years – but I am certain that we will successfully continue along the path we have taken together with our FAIRagro community.

I wish you all a peaceful and peaceful Christmas season, a Merry Christmas and a great start to the New Year.

Best regards

Frank Ewert

We at the FAIRagro Secretariat would also like to thank you all for the extremely productive and exciting past year and wish you a Merry Christmas and a peaceful end to the year.
