On September 5 and 6, the second annual TA3 meeting took place at the University of Bonn. The aim of TA3 is to facilitate the reuse, quality checking and annotation of research data.
The focus of the meeting was on the exchange of information between Measures employees on central topics such as the findability of quality metadata, data licensing and middleware tasks. Cross-departmental participation, for example from Task Area 4 (Infrastructure Services) and Use Case 5 (Non-invasive phenotyping with autonomous robots), contributed to networking and the identification of common focal points and points of contact.
In addition to the technical discussions about FAIRagro, the participants gained valuable insights into experimental research in the field of agrosystems research through an exciting tour of the Core Facility climate chambers of the Faculty of Agriculture. The event was rounded off by numerous opportunities for informal discussions during coffee breaks, lunch together and an atmospheric dinner in Bonn’s traditional restaurant “Tuscolo” (where they serve, as some say, the best pizza in town).
