The 2nd FAIRagro Use Case Call gives you and your institution the opportunity to tackle – as an active participant in the NFDI consortium – challenges in research data management (RDM) in the agricultural sciences and to develop joint innovative solutions in our network of experts that make agricultural research more efficient and future-oriented!
Through FAIRagro Use Cases we offer you the opportunity to develop practical solutions to current RDM challenges in agrosystems research and establish the FAIR practices in the sense of a national “One NFDI” with international impact. Flexible funding allows us to finance such Use Cases cases over a defined period of time.
As part of the second FAIRagro Use Case Call, we would like to specifically motivate representatives of new disciplines and institutions to participate with innovative applications, which strenghten our consortium and embed it broadly in the field of agrocultural science. The particular aim is to enrich the FAIRagro community with forward-looking projects and new partners by 2025 and to expand the spectrum from traditional agricultural systems research to the entire national agricultural science.
Our new Use Case projects will:
develop and implement solutions: create practical approaches based on FAIRagro concepts, infrastructures and services to address RDM challenges.
demonstrate FAIR practices: show through proof-of-concept how agronomic issues can be solved in a more efficient and targeted way.
promote cultural change: establish FAIR Data Management in the agricultural science context as a normative standard and strengthen acceptance through best practices.
develop further, cross-NFDI consortia and international cooperations with infrastructure projects or consolidate international cooperations.
Why submit?
New Use Cases become an integral part of the FAIRagro consortium (onboarding to our Task Area TA1) and work closely with other Task Areas (TA) to jointly pursue the 10 FAIRagro objectives and implement targeted measures to do so. You will benefit from FAIRagro expertise, a collaborative working environment and will be funded for a period of up to 18 months.
