From 11-15 December 2023, the second BioHackathon Germany, organized by de.NBI, will take place in Bielefeld. In 11 projects, participants can work on questions from the fields of bioinformatics, life sciences and data management. FAIRagro is involved in the project "Increasing FAIRness in agrosystem sciences and plant phenomics".

In this project participants will work together on an extension of schema.org for agrosystem research. They will discuss the then current state of the extension, extend it and create mappings to other metadata schemas. This will also provide links to other NFDI consortia, such as DataPLANT and the ARC structure. The agreed upon terms of the extension will then be linked to vocabularies and ontologies to assist extension users with describing their datasets.

Registration is open until Nov. 17 and is free of charge. On-site participation is limited to 80 people. Virtual participation is also possible.
