We’ve been waiting a long time—and it was worth it: the ndi4LS-IB2026 at the IPK Leibniz Institute: Three fantastic days featuring seven keynote speeches, twenty-three presentations, and eighteen posters—that sums up the 1st NFDI4LifeSciences Conference and the 20th International Symposium on Integrative Bioinformatics.
Organized by DataPLANT, our FAIRagro consortium, and NFDI4Biodiversity, with support from NFDI4Microbiota, NFDI4BIOIMAGE, NFDI4Objects, and de.NBI (ELIXIR Germany), as well as the German Research Foundation (DFG).
About 70 researchers gathered in Gatersleben to discuss how much the future of the life sciences depends on a seamless connection between a robust research data infrastructure and advanced analytical applications, and how standardized, high-quality data can drive the next generation of AI-powered research.
