New FAIRagro paper on “Cultural Change in RDM” published

Open Science is transforming the way research is conducted, but the sustainable implementation of FAIR-compliant Research Data Management (RDM) requires more than just technical infrastructure: cultural change demands coordinated socio-technical measures; facilitators are essential for bridging the gap between scientific disciplines and RDM; shared values and trust are essential prerequisites—sustainable change requires shared ownership and active participation. The challenges associated with this and how FAIRagro is addressing this complex issue are the focus of the article “The community engagement and empowerment cycle: FAIRagro’s framework to foster cultural change towards FAIR RDM practices in agrosystem science and beyond,” recently published in the “Journal of Integrative Bioinformatics.” Enjoy reading!

The topic of “Cultural Change” was also the focus of the latest edition of our FAIRagro Talk. Anne Sennhenn (TA 2) explained in “From Engagement to Impact: FAIR Data Culture in Agrosystems Science and Beyond,” why FAIRagro does not merely provide innovative services and tools, but sees itself as an open initiative that supports a growing FAIR movement within the agricultural research community—and thus drives genuine cultural change. The video, the charts presented, and all related information are now available on our FAIRagro Talk pages.
