On July 7, the time had come: the FAIRagro interim report was presented to the NFDI expert panel and the DFG. Each consortium in the third round was asked to present and discuss its progress, achievements, and challenges through a presentation, a poster, and live demonstrations. Representing FAIRagro, Frank Ewert, Xenia Specka, Senthold Asseng, Sophie Bosse, and Gabriel Schneider traveled to the “Wissenschaftszentrum Bonn”.
A 15-minute presentation was followed by 25 minutes for questions and discussion, after which there was a poster session (the FAIRagro poster can be viewed here) as well as two live demos: one on support for publication (Search Hub Repo Finder and Helpdesk) and finding research data (SearchHub Dataset Search, Agrischemas), and another on support for data processing and analysis (SchiWin).
The event took place in a generally very positive atmosphere, our team received many helpful inspirations from participants on the expert panel—even though there has not yet been any official feedback on our presentation.
