FAIRagro was actively represented at the first AgData Use Case Summit 2026 through the Use Cases “InterlinkAgDI” and Culture4FAIR, represented by Carsten Hoffmann (ZALF) and Anne Sennhenn (ATB).
Over three days, FAIRagro contributed to discussions on data interoperability, federated infrastructures, governance, and community engagement at the European level. Particularly valuable were exchanges with representatives of the Common European Agricultural Data Space (CEADS) and other national and European initiatives working towards interoperable and trustworthy data sharing.

A highlight was the presentation of the AgData Use Case “EU AgData Space”, including a live demonstration of a prototype developed by colleagues from the University of Málaga. The prototype showcased how integrated data from different sources can support data-driven decision-making directly on farms.
The summit also provided an opportunity to discuss the role of research data infrastructures, benchmark datasets, and interoperability approaches in connecting agricultural research and innovation across Europe.
The discussions once again underlined a key message shared by FAIRagro and many European partners: the digital transformation of agriculture is not only a technical challenge—it ultimately depends on people, strong connections, and meaningful collaboration across institutions, disciplines, and countries.
