This year’s Young Scientists Meeting (YSM) of the Julius Kühn Institute (FAIRagro Co-Applicant) took place in Dresden-Pillnitz from November 13 to 15.

Seventy young researchers were on site to present their research to colleagues, discuss results and take part in the internal research competition. The main focus of the meeting is the presentation and poster sessions – which are judged by both a jury and the audience. Another good opportunity to present FAIRagro to a dedicated audience as part of the roadshow initiative: Together with the JKI’s RDM team, a well-frequented information booth was organized, where young researchers had the opportunity to learn about the background and work of FAIRagro and gain an insight into research data management in the context of agrosystems research. Numerous visitors, interested questions and exciting discussions not only enabled us to further publicize our work in the community, but also to take away valuable suggestions from the ranks of the Young Scientists for the future – gladly again next year!
