Nanopublications are tiny, structured knowledge units that can serve as a universal building block for FAIR Digital Objects (FDOs) and FAIR practice in general. In this FAIRagro Talk, Tobias Kuhn (Knowledge Pixels / VU Amsterdam) did introduce the nanopublication approach and demonstrated how Nanodash, a web-based platform, makes it easy for researchers to publish and connect structured knowledge. A special focus was on how nanopublications naturally bridge different levels: domain-specific knowledge (e.g. crops, soils, methods), methodological practices, and social structures like research communities. Plus: a live demo of Nanodash’s Spaces feature, which lets groups such as consortia or conference communities collaboratively curate and share knowledge in a dedicated, structured environment.
