A Survival Guide for Law and Ethics in Research
Here you will find an overview of all workshops in our Legal Workshops Series:
From measured values in the field to complex modelling and text publications – research data in agrosystems research, environmental and earth system sciences are diverse and often the heart of a project. But who actually has rights to this data and how can I share and reuse it?
Immerse yourself in the world of copyright, licences and public domain in our three-day workshop. Get an understandable and practical explanation of when research data is protected by copyright and which licence systems – from Creative Commons to special software licences – can be used sensibly in research. Discover an ally in good scientific practice beyond copyright law. Practise using real examples to understand licence texts and assign appropriate licences and public domain marks in order to avoid legal pitfalls.
With a mixture of impulses, discussions and practical exercises, the workshop provides the necessary tools to use and share data in a legally sound, responsible and at the same time open way.
